Head to Toe Treatment

You could buy expensive creams with tiny traces of white tea extract or you could bathe in the whole leaves.

Fill one of our unbleached empty tea bags with our whole leaf green of white teas and place into in a drawn bath. The tea will essentially steep in the water, and your skin will soak up the beneficial infusion. Once the leaves have fully opened you can rub your body with the tea bag, directly exposing your skin to the tea. If you do this with black tea you could stain your skin streaky brown. Now, some people might go for streaky leather brown but I’m really not sure it’s a good look. With green or white you’re safe.

Lastly for something truly indulgent try Jasmine Silver Tip Tea. These delicate leaf buds have been scented (not flavoured) six times with fresh jasmine flowers. You get all the benefits of the antioxidants as clouds of heavenly jasmine relax you.

I’m not saying that if you drink Rare Tea you’ll look at good as Eos. That would be silly. But she does drink Rare Tea and she does look this good so we have a glimmer of a hope.

“I first discovered the Rare Tea Company about a year ago, and have since become hooked on the Jasmine Silver Tip in particular.
I brew it up first thing in the morning (it’s more refreshing than coffee and does you a whole lot more good), and last thing at night.

To top it all- when I’ve finished brewing the tea, and the leaves have cooled down, I put them on my eyes as you would with cucumber slices and it makes my skin really soft, despite having scoured layers of makeup off after a show.”

Beauty Tips Update

You read about dipping cotton wool balls in cool tea to use as eye pads but you prize your tea above all else. You’d never neglect it and let it cool, heavens above what a frightful idea.

Thankfully there’s another way to soothe your eyes with tea and even more satisfying in a recycling sort of way.
The beautiful unfurled leaves of infused whole leaf green tea or silver tip teas still contain masses of beneficial nutrients that help rejuvenate and protect the skin.
Put the leaves in an unbleached empty tea bag, dampen with cool water and place them over your closed eyes. Lie back and luxuriate with a home made eye mask that’s ideal for reducing puffiness.
Please don’t try this with ready made black tea bags – the tannins in the tea will dye your skin brown and leave you looking like someone who wears a balaclava in the sun. Not necessarily the look you’re after.

White Tea Beauty Treatment

You always mean to start the day serenely: white silver tip tea, the sun warming the floorboards, birdsong, your beautiful lover smiling across at you.

Sometimes, however, your phone flashes with new messages. Somebody is asking you to find an essential piece of paraphernalia. You hope your lover doesn’t see the deep ravines around your eyes in the bright morning sunlight.

There just isn’t time for that second wonderful cup. You look across at it wistfully as you rush to leave.

But it’s okay. It will rest there, unruffled - until you get home when it will be exactly what you need.

You may have noticed that many superior eye creams contain white tea. The men among you might not have noticed the ingredients but tell me you’ve never put your finger in a pot and patted it under your eyes? White tea contains potent antioxidants that are good on the outside as well as the inside; said to help your skin look younger for longer and improve its tone and quality. White silver tip is jammed packed with these antioxidants (being the purest delicate buds- not processed just dried).

Dip cotton wool balls or pads in the cool tea, place one over each closed eye and lie back. They don’t slip off like slices of cucumber. They coolly caress your tired eyes and leave you feeling so much better.
