Cornish Manuka with Flowers

Manuka plants are grown in the carefully tended Botanical Gardens at the Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall. The beautiful bushes originate in New Zealand and were introduced to the estate in 1880. This is the only place to commercially produce Manuka outside of its native country, making this most definitely a rare tea.

What makes this tea unique is the inclusion of the delicate flowers. They have a very short season during the summer when they are hand-picked whole and added to a blend of leaves and stems. There is only a tiny production each year.

Manuka Flowers have a delicate floral flavour, complemented by soft woody notes and a subtle sweetness.

Brew a heaped teaspoon per person for a couple of minutes to get a fragrant herbal infusion.
