More about Lemon Verbena
Aloysia citrodora or lemon verbena is a leafy herb origionally from South America. It was brought to Europe by the Spanish in the 17th Century.
Delicious on its own as a herbal infusion it gives a beautiful lemon flavour without acidity. A pinch in a pot of Whole Leaf Green Tea is astoundingly good. A few leaves in a pot of Earl Grey creates a lovely Lady Grey Tea.
The whole leaves have been cut to help them infuse.
Use a teaspoon per person in the pot and leave to stand for 3-5 minutes.
It is believed to help aid digestion and to alleviate stress.
