White Whole Leaf Tea
Whole Leaf White tea is hand-made from tender spring buds and leaves.
Also Know as Bai Mu Dan it is sourced from a farm high in the Fujian mountains near the village of Fuding. This is the 'champagne' of white tea regions. The farm has no electricity and everything is done by hand to exacting traditional methods.
Unlike White Silver Tip Tea which comprises just the spring buds this tea also contains the first delicate leaves. This combination of tender spring buds and the freshest new leaves, plucked just as they open to the sun, creates a remarkable depth of flavour. Light, soft, sweet and green like freshly mown grass the flavour is wonderfully rounded.
When infused whole leaf white tea brews to a pale golden cup. In the Song dynasty, the Emperor Hui Zong wrote that,
"white tea has the rarest and most delicate flavour ".
Quite unlike a black tea which has been fermented to bring out the stronger, more tannic flavours whole leaf white tea is just dried in the sunshine. It is the least processed of all teas. Undergoing such limited processing white leaf tea retains higher levels of antioxidants than other teas.

Using 1g per cup, each tin makes
20 cups or 10 pots of tea for two - 22p a cup.
These whole leaves can be re-infused. The second cup is even better than the first.
