Excellent Tea!

I'm not a tea expert or snob, but I know the difference between authentic green tea and everything else. This tea is amazing from start to finish and easy to make. I highly recommend this Chinese Longjing loose tea.

My current favourite green tea

Bought this as an alternative to my usual RTC whole leaf green, and now find this is my preferred staple for all day drinking. The flavour is a more subtle than the whole leaf, with a delicate but full flavour. It's a great tea when you want something less punchy.

Freshness and body

Long Jing needs to be prepared with some attention as it’s taste might turn too green if you steep it to long (or hot). 90 seconds steep in 70 degrees celsius brews a nice fresh cup of tea with a spring, green and clean flavour, leaving a touch of sweetness afterwards.

Magnificient

I wanted to try a few new tea and as always, I turned to Rare Tea. I was absolutely not disappointed with this one. It reminded me of the best tea I've ever had (which was in London). The aroma alone, rising from a fresh cup, is a pure delight and I find this tea is the best when I need a minute to myself and relax in the middle of a busy work day.

Tasting Notes

The tea has stunning flavours of fresh grass and asparagus with a smooth, nutty finish of hazelnut. Combined with a soft and round mouthfeel and a long, honeyed sweetness, it truly is a sublime tea.
