Lovely Surprise

Thank you so much, Henrietta, for letting me try this superb tea! So fragrant, gentle, sublime - and lovely with lemon madeleines, by the way.

Ethereal

This was my first voyage into white tea and what a treat. Subtle while notably tasting of tea, the surprise being that there is no after taste. Each sip is to be enjoyed in that moment. Exquisite.

A sublime tea experience

This is truly a tea to savour. Delicate and so refreshing. Re-infusing the leaves for a second or even third time develops fresh nuances of flavour. A favourite

Tasting Notes

Silky texture with fruity and floral notes of mango, vanilla, violet and elderflower.
Almost like a very elegant Solero ice lolly.

Quantity

Use 2g of tea per 150ml of water.

Temperature

For the optimum infusion use 75°C (167°F) water.

Time

Infuse for 2 minutes, tasting regularly.

Infusions

You can infuse this tea at least three times. With each careful infusion, different subtleties of flavour are revealed.

Cost Per Cup

80p per cup based on 2g of tea per 150ml of water and 3 infusions.

Not only does this sublime white tea make a delicious hot tea, but it also works beautifully to make a cold infused iced tea. Cold infusion tea (also known as cold brew tea) allows only the sweetest flavours to dissolve. It does take patience but 6 to 7 grams (0.21 to 0.25oz) left to steep in cold water in the fridge overnight will make the most refreshing loose leaf breakfast tea, calorie-free and rich in antioxidants.
